Buckley & Klein founding partner Dan Klein has devoted his legal practice to employment litigation for more than 25 years, representing hundreds of clients in a wide range of employment cases, including sexual harassment cases; overtime class actions; race, age, and sex discrimination cases; and non-competition and other contract disputes. A native of New York City, Dan received his B.A. with Honors from Brown University and his J.D. Cum Laude from Georgetown University Law Center. Dan is listed as a "Super Lawyer" by both Atlanta Magazine and Martindale Hubbell's Bar Register of Pre-Eminent Lawyers.

Dan has also has nearly 20 years of experience in mediation and arbitration. He has served as neutral in more than 400 employment or business disputes, and has taught mediation and negotiation in the United States and in Europe. Dan’s mediation web site, www.kleinmediation.com, allows users to analyze and value lawsuits using “decision tree” analysis. Dan speaks fluent French and is a member of the panel of mediators of the Centre De Médiation Et d'Arbitrage De Paris.

Dan is an amateur cellist and is married to Dona Vellek Klein, a cellist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Their daughters, Andrea and Melissa, have inherited their parents' love of music. Both play piano and one other instrument (cello for Andrea, trumpet for Melissa). The Kleins are outdoor enthusiasts and vacations are often devoted to hiking or ski trips.
